I am a licensed clinical psychologist providing individual and couples therapy for adults and adolescents. My private practice is a virtual one with video appointments held on HIPAA compliant software. Washingtonian magazine has rated me as one of the area’s top therapists and as a recommended couples’ therapists .
In addition to my private practice work, I am a former adjunct clinical faculty
member for the
George Washington University's Doctor of Psychology Program
and a former faculty member for
St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Psychiatric Residency Training Program
. In 2012, I was named St. Elizabeth’s Residency Program’s Outpatient
Supervisor of the Year. Past experience includes serving as training director for the University of the District of
Columbia’s Counseling Center and working clinically with college students in the
Counseling Centers of George Mason University and James Madison
University and working clinically with adult clients at the George Washington University Center Clinic.
My doctorate in clinical psychology was earned at George Washington
University Psy.D. program. Additional training includes one year at the
advanced Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy Program of the
Washington School for Psychiatry and one year as a fellow at both the
Washington Center for Psychoanalysis and the Baltimore-Washington
Institute for Psychoanalysis. Credentialed by the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology , I am a member of the Maryland Psychological Association , Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis, Inc and the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis . State licensed as a psychologist in
Maryland
, the
District of Columbia
and Virginia, I also hold Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) in 26 States.
Much of my work with clients focuses on depression, anxiety and relationship concerns. I find tremendous satisfaction in helping clients to work through their current difficulties to find personal meaning and happiness.
